  1. Please have your BUSINESS ACCOUNT NUMBER available for reference as you proceed to file online. You must use your BUSINESS ACCOUNT NUMBER and BUSINESS OWNER NAME to access your online declaration. The BUSINESS ACCOUNT NUMBER begins with a 0, 1 or 2 and can be found on prior year tax declarations or tax bills. If you do not know your account number, please contact our office at btcor@loudoun.gov or 703 777-0260. Please include the following information in your email or be prepared to provide this information when you call:

    • FEIN and/or SSN
    • Business Mailing Address
    • Phone Number
    • Business Owner Name
    • Business Trade Name

  2. Submission of an asset list in electronic format is preferred. If you do not already have an asset list prepared in a spreadsheet format, you can click here  to open a Microsoft Excel template. For each piece of business property or equipment, please include the original purchase price, a brief description, the year of purchase, and the property location address or situs. Include all business property located in Loudoun County, even if fully depreciated for federal tax purposes. If you must mail your asset list, identify it with your BUSINESS ACCOUNT NUMBER and BUSINESS OWNER NAME and email to btcor@loudoun.gov or mail to:

              P.O. Box 8000
              Leesburg, VA 20177-9804

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept a VA Form 762 since it does not provide sufficient information.

  3. To upload the asset list when you file online, it must be in either Excel XLS or CSV format and cannot exceed 8MB. A CSV format results in a smaller file size, which will increase the speed of the file upload, and is recommended if you are using a dial-up Internet connection. If you choose to upload a CSV file as part of your online declaration, you should convert your asset list file to a CSV format file before continuing.
